CA. Rajendra Kumar P is a Chartered Accountant in practice in India for about 3 decades.
He is elected to the Central Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi for the term 2022-2025. He was also a member of Central Council of ICAI during 2010-2013 and 2019-2022. He was the Chairman of Southern Region of ICAI for the year 2008-2009.
He has the experience of being a Member on The Disciplinary Committee of ICAI for 6 years. Currently in the 7th year and 2nd year in succession (2024-2025) he is the Presiding Officer of Board of Discipline.
In addition to the above he is also, for the year 2024-2025, Chairman of Committee on Career Counselling, Vice Chairman of GST & Indirect Taxes Committee, Deputy Convenor of Legal Directorate, Member of Board of Internal Audit & Management Accounting and other various committees of ICAI.
He is an Independent Director on the Board of reputed Corporates. He was also appointed on the Board of Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) a reputed Public Sector Corporation set up by an Act of Parliament, by Government of India as Independent Director for a period of 3 years since January, 2020. He was also the Chairman of Audit Committee of the Corporation. He also chaired five Board Meetings of CWC.
He is currently the Acting Chair of Edinburgh Group for 2 year term 2022-2024. Edinburgh Group is a coalition of 16 Accounting Bodies of the World with over 1 million Accountants. The Group Champions the interest of SMEs/SMP Accountants in Practice and developing Nations in particular within International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
He is a thought leader, influencer and a person with a charitable and reformist mind set. Born on May 13, a Taurean, he walks extra mile, winning friends and touching the lives of those who come into contact with him. RK as he is popularly known, enjoys providing leadership, talking to the students and listening to intellectuals. In his personal capacity he is an internationally recognised expert on GST and VAT. He is a Member of the Technical Advisory Group to the Working Party 9 of the OECD and offers his technical expertise in the area of Consumption Taxes to the International body. Dr. Gary Pflugrath (PhD, MBA, B.Bus, FCPA, CA, GAICD) has more than 35 years’ experience in the accountancy profession, across senior public policy, advocacy, academic research, internal audit, financial reporting, and governance and administration roles. Prior to joining CPA Australia, Gary was the Senior Director, Public Policy and Governance at the International Federation of Accountants, in New York and has previously worked at the University of New South Wales and the Reserve Bank of Australia. In June 2023 Gary moved from the role of Executive General Manager Policy and Advocacy, where he was responsible for the representation and advocacy work on behalf of the accountancy profession in Australia and international markets, to a senior adviser role, advising the Board and CEO on stakeholder engagement and policy matters.
- 01 EG Membership is open to any IFAC Member Body or a Regional or National Accountancy organisation which shares the vision and objectives of the Group.
- 02 Any organisation wishing to apply to become a Member shall apply in writing or in such other form as may be prescribed by the Group from time to time.
- 03 Every application for membership shall be addressed to the Secretary.
- 04 Application shall be considered by the Group at its next meeting.
- 05 The number of Members is not subject to any upper limit.
- 06 Forthwith on admission to membership of the Group, each Member shall appoint a Representative who shall represent the Member's interests in all of the Group's operations, including attending meetings and voting on the Member's behalf.
- 07 Each Member shall have the power to change its Representative from time to time.
